Ceramica Watches

Rado's philosophy is "If we can imagine it, we can make it. If we can make it, we will." This unique approach to design explains why so many Rado collections are so finely crafted and luxurious. Rado are based in Lengnau, in Switzerland, and produce over half a million timepieces every year. The company formed in 1917 and initally only produced watch movements of the highest quality. It was not until 1957 when Rado launched their first collection of watches under their own name. Rado were the first to manufacture a scratch-proof watch and have pioneered this technology ever since. The company is considered high-end but does not have a very long history, this is because in the short time Rado have been in existence they have made a large number of technological innovations.

Ceramica Watches

Werner Scholpp designed a new line for Rado in the early 90's and it was apparent to him that rather than seperate the watch and bracelet as with traditional designs the bracelet and watch should form a continuous whole, an integrated unit. The resulting product was the Ceramica, a bracelet with a stunning watch face mounted onto it in a seemless blend. It is hardly surprising that the Ceramica has had an influence on all Rado design philosophy since it's conception; it is a stunning and unique design. The Ceramica is crafted from some of the finest materials, but rather than travel down the route of traditional luxury Rado have decided to use spaceage ceramics that make the watch skin friendly and hard wearing at the same time. The Ceramica is available in three sizes and in different dial variations... Ceramica is a choice for the discerning individual.
