Dunhill CarwatchThe Dunhill Carwatch features a high-tech, two part case made from a choice of steel or a combinction of titanium and stage 2 ceramic. The Carwatch design mirrors that of a futuristic "concept car". The Carwatch features a Swiss self-winding mechanical movement and comes with a calf strap with deployant clasp and a "tool kit" reminiscent of those supplied with vintage cars comprising a stainless steel bracelet and a stud-fastening, calf "driver's strap". This Carwatch kit is supplied in an aluminium piston head casing which can be opened to reveal a leather and canvas roll. This kit is the perfect compliment for any aspiring mechanic or petrol head. Dunhill's Carwatch is reminiscent of an Edwardian driver's watch. These were manufactured to be worn on the side of the wrist rather than as we imagine a watch should be worn; this allowed the wearer to see the face of the timepiece without having to release his bucking steering wheel. In the Carwatch Dunhill offer a contemporary twist on this idea by using shaped sapphire crystal glass with individually sized numbers. This allows the Carwatch to be read at a glance even when gripping a steering while or riding a motorcycle. |
