Navigators Watches

Arnold & Sons trace their lineage back to 1764 when John Arnold set up his first workshop in the Strand in London. After giving King George III the gift of a minute repeater-ring John Arnold gained access to circles of wealthy people. Arnold joined the longitude act competition which was set up in an effort to find a reliable method for calculating the longitude at sea during the expansion of the British Empire. To this end Arnold used to specialise in marine chronometers throughout the 1770's before making the move to developing timepieces in more modern times. Arnold & Sons are very aware of their nautical heritage and aim to incorporate as much of their past engineering prowess in their timepieces as possible.
