No 8 Watches

Bedat watches are universal and timeless. Each individual piece in the Bedat collections comes imbued with its own distinctive harmony. Bedat are a relatively new company, having been formed in 1996 by Christian and his mother Simone Bédat. In 1997 they presented their first professional collections at the Basal show, they were an immediate success and are still some of the best selling collections to this day. In 2000 Bedat was purchased by the Gucci group and is now owned 100% by Gucci. This partnership of sorts has allowed Bedat to expand into the global market and become world leaders in high quality timepieces. In 2007 Bedat celebrated it's 10th anniversary and was able to look back at the last 10 years and reflect on their current position as arguably market leaders in horology.

No 8 Watches

The No 8 from Bedat takes its inspiration from the figure 8. The figure eight is the brand logo. It represents the hourglass and infinity. The BEDAT logo represents a figure eight. This “8” is also the watch company’s maker’s mark. It was registered on February 10th 1997 at the Precious Metals Control Central Bureau. Each part carries this mark, thereby guaranteeing its Swiss origin. The figure eight is a universal symbol of perfection and infinity. It is the number of cosmic equilibrium, meaning the order of the universe, the harmony between the earthly kingdom and the heavenly kingdom. It is often used to depict the hourglass, a sign of the passing of time. Bedat & Co collection No 8 represents sophisticated Swiss watch style and design.
