Tonneau Watches

Patrimony, art, commitment, excellence....these are the guidelines that Cartier adhere to every time they create a timepiece. The company traces its roots back to 1847 when Louis-Francois Cartier took over the workshop of his master and began work. In 1853 he opened up to private clientele and the buisness began to expand at a phenomenal rate. In 1997 Cariter celebrated its 150th anniversary by hosting a major exhibition of collected works from the past 150 years. Today Cartier continues expanding their collection by producing more pieces of fine art for men and women. Their timepieces are amongst some of the most exclusive, most sought after on the planet with a huge variety of styles existing within each collection.w

The Tonneau

The Tonneau was first created in 1906 by Louis Cartier. The case is uniquely curved in such a way as to function both as a mens and ladies watch, the Tonneau is able to tread the line between masculinity and feminity perfectly. A large amount of fittings and features are available across the various watches in the Tonneau range, each as luxurious and elegant as the next. From polished white gold to diamond encrusted yellow gold with a wide choice of straps, the Tonneau is a watch for those who value comfort and sophistication.
